At Silvex we have been undertaking an environmental preoccupation policy with, both, consumers and society. The most obvious evidence of this commitment was the issue of 1500 household Ecopontos – collector bins and garbage separation bags for local primary schools, leisure centres, support centres and infant rehabilitation centres.
 
On a day-to-day basis, we have been implementing policy’s related to recycling. We should emphasize that in the first semester of 2007 we recycled over 60% of plastic in comparison to all of 2006, this due to all the investments we have made in this area, and we aim to surplus this number this year.

When it comes to raw-material selection, we have been adopting a demanding criteria that minimize the environmental impact and comply with legal requirements. An example of this is Bionature, recently launched on the market, which reveals our environmental concern, by being 100% biodegradable.
